Hey Diddle Diddle
The nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle was our focus this week. Again, we learned sight words using the words found in the text of the this story. We discussed the characters in the nursery rhyme; then, we compared the cat, dog, and cow to "real" animals by reading nonfiction stories about each animal. Can you explain the difference between fiction and nonfiction stories?

Humpty Dumpty
This past week we learned with Humpty Dumpty! We sang and read the nursery rhyme, found words we knew in the lyrics, and learned all about eggs. Can you name some oviparous animals that come from eggs?
We had a great time making egg salad on Thursday. Our ingredients were eggs, mayonnaise mustard, relish, salt and pepper. Tell an adult the sequence you followed to make your egg salad. Did it taste good?
Here is a video to help you remember Humpty Dumpty.
